I just want to say thank you to our friends for making our bachelor/bachelorette party so much fun. And thank you to Dad and Laura for opening up your house to all of us crazies. It was a night full of laughs and fun. Even though I was the first to take me leave and go night-night. I had a blast. Here are some pics of us girls. :D
The first pic is sober Trina. The rest, well you can see for yourselves. :P
Laura also gave me this beautiful ring for my "something old" for the wedding. It means so much to me for her to pass on such an important item to me. I feel so honored. I will cherish it, and one day pass it on to Bella. I'm so blessed to have you as part of my family. I love you!
I think so!!!! So this weekend we set out to put new flooring in our living room. And wow, it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. But we got it finished, and I absolutely LOVE it. I'm glad we got rid of the carpet.

I even got my own little reading/crochet nook!!!! I'm pretty stoked. :D
There wasn't much frustration until the end. But like I said we're happy with how it turned out. Now to find the energy to finish the kids bathroom. I've been saying it's going to happen for months, and yeah that's a negative. Maybe that's what I'll work on this weekend.
So I mentioned in an earlier post that I would be trying my damnedest to makes 6 shows in 6 months. Well...... I've got my tickets to 6 shows.
This is who the bestie & I saw in January.
There aren't any in February or May yet, but There are doubles in March & April.
We will be seeing these two great bands in March.
Here are our April Shows:
Apparently The Black Keys heard my silent pleas about playing in Dallas... They will be here for EdgeFest 22!!!! I seriously can't wait. Not to mention The Features (above) will be back then too!!!! It's gonna be a great show!
Then one of the honey's fave bands.
Just days before our wedding in June we'll be seeing Foster the People with Kimbra & The Kooks.
So all in all, I'd say that about covers my goal. Now Gym Class Heroes needs to hear my mega loud pleas, and come to Dallas!!!!
I'm pretty stoked that I have turned my son into a person who loves all the paranormal stuff. The only thing is he likes werewolves more than vampires.... I mean seriously... how did this happen!!! But it's all good. We both like zombies. Here's his version of a zombie battle.
This is what our sweet little daughter was doing while Koda was building his zombie army.
Bella thinks she needs to wear her princess clothes at ALL TIMES. So she was showing off her style while reading her coloring book. Silly girl.
So Friday night the bestie and I went to see The Features. They were freaking awesome. And I think I scared them a little when I had them sign my jacket. I think Nessa found that hilarious. It was a great night full of music, drinks and whataburger. Haha. Oh and I even drank beer. It was yummy.
I know i"ve been neglecting my family blog. I'll finally be putting up Christmas posts this weekend.
For now here are a few things we hope to do this year:
1. get the kids bathroom redecorated. The kids got a Dallas Cowboys bathroom set so we are working on painting the bathroom to match it.
2. Do something with our children abused carpet. Hopefully hardwood so we don't have to worry about stains
3. Get out of debt!
4. Get hitched. This one will be happening in just over 4 months. <3
5. And my own personal goal due to my love of music. Try to attend at least 6 shows in the next 6 months. I've got most of them covered I think.
January: The Features
February: nothing yet.... we'll see what comes up
March: Young the Giant & possibly Band of Skulls
April: Trying to talk the honey into making the 5 hour drive to go see Black Keys. And if not definitely taking the moms.
May: Nothing as of yet. But we'll see what happens
The search for the bridesmaid dress is on! We've narrowed it down to these so far.
I've also decided I'm going to make Bella's dress. It's going to be modeled after these, but in our colors of course. I will adding a lining under the tutu so that it's not quite so itchy on her skin.
